Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists
The overall objective of the Institute is to help ensure that workplace health hazards are eliminated or controlled. It seeks to achieve this by promoting the profession of occupational hygiene in industry, government and the general community; improving the practice of occupational hygiene and the knowledge, competence and standing of its practitioners; providing a forum for the exchange of occupational hygiene information and ideas and by promoting the application of occupational hygiene principles to improve and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all.

National Safety Council of Australia
The National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) is Australia's leading provider of OHS training and consulting services and is committed to helping clients and members continuously improve workplace health, safety and environment.

Safety Institute of Australia
The SIA promotes the highest possible standards of health and safety at work, on the roads, at play and at home. The Institute believes that the distinctive advice of qualified and experienced health and safety professionals is a prerequisite to the specification of the health and safety responsibilities of all levels of Government (Federal, State, Territory or Local), employers (across all industry sectors) and community organisations

Welding Technology Institute of Australia
The WTIA's goal is to assist in making Australian industry locally and globally competitive in welding-related activities. The organisation offers a wide range of services to its members, including technical advisory, library, and information services.

Standards Australia
Standards Australia is recognised by the Government as Australia's peak Standards body. It coordinates standardisation activities, develops internationally aligned Australian Standards® of public benefit and national interest and facilitates the accreditation of other Standards Development Organisations. SAI-Global has exclusive license over the distribution and sales of Australia Standards.

Australian Safety and Compensation Council
The Australian Safety and Compensation Council (ASCC) is made up of representatives from each Australian state and territory, the Commonwealth, the Australian Council of Trades Unions (ACTU) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). The role of the ASCC is to lead and coordinate national efforts to improve OHS and workers' compensation arrangements, declare national standards and codes of practice for OHS and provide policy advice to the Workplace Relations Ministers' Council on OHS and workers' compensation arrangements.

The ASCC is not a regulatory authority and does not make or enforce laws. OHS laws in Australia operate in each of the state, territory and commonwealth jurisdictions, and are administered by jurisdictions' OHS authorities.

Hazardous Substances Information System (HSIS)
The HSIS is an internet resource that allows you to find information on substances that have been classified in accordance with the Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous Substances [NOHSC:1008(2004] 3rd Edition and/or have National Exposure Standards declared under the NOHSC Adopted National Exposure Standards for Atmospheric Contaminants in the Occupational Environment [NOHSC:1003(1995)] or subsequent updates. In addition to providing powerful search features, HSIS also provides direct access to a consolidated list of all the classified substances contained in the HSIS database.
